I'm all for starting a lax team but we would get stomped by everyone... Do we really need anymore punishment right now ?

Lacrosse is exploding at the D2 level, even in Florida.  Becasue of title 9, it is more difficult for D1 programs to add lacrosse.  The State of Florida will have their own D2 conference for lacrosse

Our club team beat UF this year. Assume makes an Ass out of U and Me

I would love to have a team if USF decided it was the right thing to do. Been a fan since I was a kid growing up in northeast.

Club level is not NCAA.

 

 

Fun sport to watch and constant action.  Getting a lot more popular in the high school ranks in Florida.  Very popular northern sport.

 

This is why I would think this would be a good candidate for an expansion sport, there is a growing community and only one men's and women's team in the state.

 I do not know the final UF record this year, but i saw them play at UCF, with a USF Middie Alum. They were terrible. I would think that USF must have spanked them big time..

Lacrosse team used to play out on the Fowler fields about 5 years back (last time I was out to watch them). Not sure where they play now.

Used to got to all the LAX club's parties in the 70's. I was 6'3 225# in those days, a complete madman and played club soccer. LAX recruited the hell out of me. I still wish I had done it. Ran into all of them at the Aspen, CO  tourney a few years after school. Always had a blast. You gotta be crazy to play Lacrosse. It's like playing rugby but they give you a stick to beat on your opponent. My kind of game.

Again, we would absolutely get stomped if we went NCAA.

Are there cuts on club teams?
