what intern toyed in MS Paint for 10min to whip those up.. another cringe worthy moment added to USF Athletics' long and arduous list of shortcomings.

 

the design.. the models.. this university strikes me as embarrassingly clueless all too frequently.

WTF?? The white ones are the cheap ugly ones we used to get at pep-rallies.  You never wear them unless you are painting or sleeping.  Way to kick a school when they're down.  <--- zero "white" in this logo.

This is how BSU, and others, are able to do their colors (besides giving away shirts... usually in BB games.)

They release seating charts of the upcoming schedule indicating what to wear on what sections on the given game:

Altercations? Altercations ?? If this is an issue with vocabulary - by a student at the university - or if this is a proofing error, any question about the design of the shirt (which font to use) and color (just surprised they weren't blue) and model selection* has just been answered. 

 

As for BSU...now that's an example of an organized activity that could become tradition over time. But think in terms of what it takes to get that level of organization and see it through year after year. OK, there's that or murals in a parking garage. Either way. 

 

 

* generally speaking models tend to be photogenic. Don't want to get all Abercrombie & Fitch, but maybe there's something to be said for knowing your target demographic.

This is nothing new. I tried designing shirts for SBC years ago and got rejected by athletics because they were looking for something more "vanilla" as they put it. Bland and uninspired has been the name of the game for years.
