Actually it seems like he could fit in well with Schiano's staff. Taking Butch's position with the Buc's would be a nice place for Skip to hide out and collect his $500K from USF. It makes a lot of sense if Davis takes the FIU gig.

Wouldn't shock me if Davis lands at FIU and brings in Skip as a coordinator.

Be a homerun combo for FIU. Could also fill in the FIU coaching positions with all the USF guys that aren't retained (read about all of them).

Let's assume we get Taggart. On a state-wide scale, is Davis a bigger catch for FIU than Taggart for us? Wondering if he'll end up out-recruiting Taggart and ends up a better coach.

Davis couldn't out recruit USF or UCF at FIU. He might make a dent versus FIU hiring someone else, but it's not an apples to apples comparison.

Just as the assumption is Taggart will be a great recruiter for USF. He wont out recruit UF, but he might make a dent.

It's strange that there isn't more buzz on Davis. This seems like the #1 hire to me. Are people assuming we can't land this guy?

People are afraid of hiring him due to UNC but he was cleared of any wrong doing by the ncaa. There is no reason to not give him a look.

I'm assuming that since he is already in the same area that a conversation has taken place.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
