It should be a learning experience for both Nutt, who will know more about the school, and for DW, who will have a better grip what he needs to sell a coach on our program. Go Bulls! Exactly, I think this is all smoke and mirrors by Dougie (or it better be). I think there's another candidate that Dougie has honed in on, and he's doing his part as a negotiator by not looking so desperate.

Apparently this is happening because Nutt's agent is really pushing for some publicity, and he's not one of USF's top candidates. That could change with today's interview though. His overall body of work is really solid, those 2 awful years at Ole Miss shouldn't cloud our judgment when evaluating this guy We shouldn't let those 2 awful years at USF cloud our judgment of Skip Holtz either... he's a winner as well. Has "a lot of interest" in USF opening, has had preliminary conversations about job but no interview lined up yet. Greg Aumanâ€@gregauman Houston Nutt eager to coach, has followed USF program for some time -- actually handed Bulls their most lopsided loss ever, 42-3 in 2002. Interesting note: In 2006, when he won the conference div title, Gus Malzahn was his OC AND McFadden was a Heisman runner-up Take that away, in the preceding years he was 4-4 in conference, 3-5, 2-6. In the year after he was 4-4 again.

You can play the otherside too: 135-96 Record 31-16 at Murray State 75-48 at Arky 18-8 first 2 seasons at Ole Miss Back to Back Cotton Bowl Champs (been to the Cotton Bowl 5 times) 3x SEC coach of the year 3x SEC west Champs ect. You can play the otherside too: Because it is important to hire a good coach, not someone fortunate to be the beneficiary of good circumstances. It may be true that Nutt was both. It may not.
