Jeez lighten up on the kid. He did ok in his first ever game as a rFR. He obviously isn't ready yet and I can't blame him. He has horrible coaches around him, a young OL, receivers who drop too many passes and a less than stellar running game.

Floyd is a better QB that Eveld and if we can keep Woulard than its him vs Floyd for #1, which I'm ok with. Not every player is gonna be a Heisman finalist in their first start. It takes time and I think Floyd could be a quality QB for us in the future and win games on a consistent basis with the right coaches.

Floyd looked like a freshman qb with his first major playing time. He is a 3rd string qb for a reason. He isn't a 3rd string qb at a major program that could step in and carry the team....this is USF. Having said that he looked like he has been poorly coached to this point.....go figure.

Floyd didn't look horrible. He was making his first start. With better coaching and a better supporting cast (oline, WRs, and RBs) he might work out.

I thought he looked pretty solid considering he had to split reps... just wanted to point out though that he was NOT making his first start... Cap'n Skippy decided to start Eveld and burn his RS... because... well... because he said so I guess?

Floyd looked like a kid that has a lot of potential. He stood tall in the pocket, kept his eyes down field, was pretty accurate with most of his passes, and didn't get rattled very easily (though he did start to fall apart at the end, not handling snaps and all, but, Holtz had given up, so, why not everyone else?).

Floyd still needs to work on handling the snap. Still muffing a couple even in shot gun formation.

Still though for his place on the depth chart he was serviceable after the first couple series. Not much help from the receivers.

Floyd needs to stop locking into one receiver.

he only had success when they were playing prevent before the half. He was very bad. Unfortunately guys like him are a dime a dozen and he will not flourish in this offense. Noone can. Only a BJ type player who can create his own plays otherwise its not an offense that is stat friendly.

Any idea who's gonna be our back up? Are we ready to burn Miller or TEveld's redshirt?
