If I'm Doug Marrone, I have Ryan Nassib taking it to the air on 2/3's of my offensive snaps. Game, set and match. Happy Homecoming USF! Hopefully, that will finally put an end to Chris Cosh's tenure here at USF. Then it's one down, one more to go.

What's so bothersome is that Holtz seems unaware of what to do.

Per Johnston from the Trib: #USF defense has 0 INTs in 7 games. Skip Holtz: "I've never been through something like this. I don't think I've ever heard of it before."

I mean, you are the HEAD COACH, and you are drawing a blank? Is there ANY question AT ALL that maybe you need fresh leadership on defense? If Cosh is calling the shots, can him. If HOLTZ is calling the shots, he needs to delegate to DC.

That is the completion percentage against the defense the last 2 games

Temple 16/20 = 80%

L'Ville 21/25 = 84%

It is a simple miracle that we have even been close in these games. I am really curious as to the breakdown (grid format) of where these completions were made. My guess would be that the majority of them are in the 15-20 yard range in the middle of the field.

That's a new stat we can keep, "almost interceptions". Using this new measure, we can feel good about what might have been, and not feel so bad about having no actual interceptions. Plus the coach can use it to sound upbeat about how things are going!
