Worse loss ever?

I'm torn between this game and the loss to Army in 2004.

that loss to Rutgers when we were #2. even though it was obvious we weren't the 2nd best team in the country that year it was tough to have all that hype and hope then see it go down like that.

At least Army was a conference game, with the teams being more or less level in the college football hierarchy. The only loss that I think really compares is the Oregon defeat in the Sun Bowl, just because it was such an ass-whooping at the end of what was USF's most exciting season ever. But in terms of where I thought USF was versus where I thought the opponent was, this is the worst by a mile. Right now, anyway. Maybe when the wounds heal in a few days I'll revert to Oregon, Army, or Rutgers 2007.

The loss to Rutgers when we were #2 was far worse... but this one ranks second on my list... then the loss to UF as third... we should had beaten UF but thanks to the Skip and BJ show we beat ourselves.
