As a Florida natice and fan of USF and FSU over the years, with the expectations I have developed, I can envision USF beating FSU to screw up their hopes and then losing all the rest.

I am giving up on the predictions game, since I have proven terrible at it.

But if we somehow pull out a win against FSU (and, let's be real, its the type of game USF should not, but occasionally does win) and, of course, do what we need to do against Ball State, then this season looks real different moving forward.

On top of that, it could very well turn out that Rutgers defense is proven to be really strong. That will shine a different perspective on our loss too.

Not trying to voice unwarranted optimism, but with a few breaks, suddenly this season will be at least enjoyable again.

I predicted a 9-3 season with losses to RU/FSU/UofL and I don't think I'm off by much still. Like it or not it was extremely tough to go out west and beat a pretty good team in Nevada and then come back 5 days later and play a top 3/4 big east team. I just wish we wouldn't have made so many careless mistakes. I'm worried about UCONN and Cincy but I think we get one so I'm going to drop my prediction to 8-4 with a loss to one of them. I hate PITT too much to say that we are going to lose to them. I think it was a testimony to how over-rated the ACC is and not how great PITT is yesterday...

ACC is awful! At least the BE plays defense(until next year).

The reality is that we are an average team. We are not going to beat many teams turning the ball over 4 plus times. Worst case scenario 6-6, best case 8-4

Skip and staff are going to go back to the uf game plan against ball state. The major difference will be that Matt Floyd will be able to sub in for BJ when he get's gassed. ((At least that's what I would do.))

9-3

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
