This does not effect football. It only effects basketball and olympic sports. We still have 13 schools for football with one more on the way. Its not the doomsday scenario, its just makes it look like we are still not a stable conference. That perceptions hurts us more than the move itself. the death nail will be Ville and the other school that leaves.

Of course losing a full-time member like UL, UConn or Rutgers hurts more, but ND will affect being associated with a major bowl and it will hurt the contract. We were recently hearing rumors about the ND/BE Orange Bowl tie in. Now, there's no incentive for ND to help us out in that regard. At least we have something else to talk about before the game tomorrow.

ESPNCF Tweet that ND will start playing 5 ACC teams a year, basically for TV purposes making them a de facto football member of the ACC.

We never had that tie in to begin with... What makes you think that the ND child molesters had any real incentive to "help" us.

  • This is not a huge deal, it hurts alittle but Notre Dame was not a full member. The loss of them for basketball hurts slightly, but there are not a huge amount of Notre Dame basketball fans.

This is by far the one loss that hurts the least.

At face value it hurts the least, but the perception of the conference takes another huge hit. The Big East is open game for anyone to come in and take whatever they want.

The Big East has been, and will be, open for anyone to come in and take whatever they want until we get the NBC contract .... hopefully, very nice contract.

Won't those games be on NBC? ... and how much longer is that contract?

It doesn't kill us, but it hurts. A lot.

Brett was the originator of the 5 ACC football game tip. I am wondering if he spends all his paycheck on paying off informants. Either that or he shops here:

If they expand it's down to BYU, Louisville, Cincinnati, and USF.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
