i don't think swarbrick wanted to be BE commish.

They're basically going to leech off the ACC like they do the BE. They already play Pitt annually, and Boston College frequently, and have played Miami, Wake Forest, and Syracuse in recent years. I wonder how much of the TV deal they will demand - or if they'll try to change it.

JVWVU nailed it..... The best we can hope from this is that ESPN continues to devalue the BE and USF is a part of the invites to ACC or Big 12. Key word, HOPE

kind of ironic you put "hope" and have a stormtrooper as your profile pic

Say goodbye to a possible ND/BE Orange Bowl tie in.

Kinda...Doesn't the ACC have a tie-in with the Orange Bowl? Still could keep ND there is they win the league.

Wow! I thought we were good to go for the TV negotiations. This is a decent hit.

Of course the basketball negotiations aren't for another year, but this is another huge whack to the Big East credibility struck by ESPN.

I know people will say, "Good, who needs them, it doesn't matter," but this is a big deal with tv negotiations starting and with conference realignment and shuffling. Horrible news for the NBE.

Good timing for ESPN to broker this deal. We're still in the exclusive negotiating window with them, so this makes our conference less valuable, therefore they will low-ball us even more.

Yup, this has ESPN back-door tactics written all over it.

Nervous about who is next! Incredible how the ACC landed ND just before the deadline!

Dickie V nailed it ... Hopefully, he and BM both have the same source and it's wrong.

and we are done!

With addition of Notre Dame, ACC increases exit fees to 3 times annual operating budget, which would be $50 million
