there is nobody left in the big east that would increase value of big 12.

Yes and no. First, two teams give the B12 a championship game. That increases value.

It's also one more game that a B12 team can lose to keep them out of the national title game. That's a big reason they haven't taken any more teams.

Money eventually will trump the chicken Texas AD on that point.

a champ game might add $14M to the pot. just over $1m per team. the split would be less though after bringing in 2 more teams. Texas brought in $150M last year. they could find $1m in the ADs couch cushions.
