Don't want to speak for anyone else, but I'm thinking USF will tell you there are more direct and immediate ways to help the football program. Starting a fund toward an on-campus football stadium -- we'll say $200 million on the very low end -- is earmarking money for something that could be literally decades away. Priority now is an indoor practice facility -- they're working to line up support for that, which should run about $14-million.

Good point.

A hint that something might happen in the future...

http://wusfnews.wusf...ium-usfs-future

Look where UCF's stadium is ranked (really???)...

WE NEED TO MAKE A TEMPORARY BAN RULE FOR ANYONE WHO POSTS A BLEACHER REPORT ARTICLE AS SOURCE/REFERENCE!!!

I mean.. come on. Even on UCF's message board (yes i took a quick peek to see their reaction,) they laughed about this and know they aren't anywhere near the top of the list.

At least you can tell what it is before clicking on it ... and to avoid any more hits to that idiot's site, here's the hilarious "assessment":

21.

Bright House Networks Stadium is new, having just opened in 2007, and is perhaps the best stadium outside of a BCS Conference.

Central Florida will be joining the Big East within a few years, and they have the facilities to do just that.

They will in all likelihood have the best stadium in the conference when they do. The stadium seats 45,301, and it has just about everything.

The fanbase here is growing, and they know how to make some noise. Wait for the song Zombie Nation to be played, and be prepared to "bounce."

This guy was smoking something good and has never been to any of those fields.

$14 Million is a lot of money to enclose a football field... even with a few offices and storage tacked on, plus design fees, and all the other stuff, that is a high number.

There was a thread on this within the past month. It is not a cheap bubble type facility. I think Auburn just spent $16 million for something like we want. FSU should have something similar built within a year. I'm not sure how much they are paying for it, but it's probably close to that.

Isn't $14 million what the BHNFP cost?

No. I'm pretty sure that the cost was 14 million doll hairs.
