Yes, USF does depend on fees from the students to help support the athletic department, more than other schools and/or states. Don't forget, they don't have to buy tickets to ANY home USF sporting event (football, basketball, soccer, baseball etc.)

I would gladly give USF $300 dollars per year to go to any home sporting event I wanted, with no additional ticket purchases required!!

I pay WAY more than this for my season tickets to football games alone.

would you give $300 per year to say the ballet department if they allowed you to see shows for free? (hypothetical).

obviously no where near 42k students take advantage of "free" tickets.

If I could see concerts, stage shows, art showings, and other things that the fine arts department puts out and use art studios and supplies, then probably.

don't you actually not have to pay to go to those things. I remember having to go to some show when I was in school and I don't remember paying.

I was responding to Bull94's post that $300 a year wasn't worth entry to all sporting events and use of the recreational facilities.

Even if they charged 5 dollars a game, it adds up and could be used to help funding. Don't most schools from BCS conferences charge for admission? I know Michigan and Michigan State do up here

I know, I was just adding that I'm pretty sure as a student you get into those things and thus you probably pay fees for shows and the like as well
