I think West Virginia pays USF 250,000,000 for a new on campus Stadium. Then go trough every team and pay them what they want Then they can go to the Big XII

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The way things are going, I think everyone will sue WVU before this is all done. They'll have to close the school, liquidate the assets, and burn all remaining couches.

So, $30M or more to the Big East. Probably at least $5M more to FSU if they can't get someone to play in Tally that will sell it out. They can't just ditch the Big XII now either because they could get sued by them.

Betcha Luck is just wishing he'd stayed put at this point.

FSU will not sue WVU, the $500k payout is for this game at FSU, it would have been $350k had it been cancelled in October. FSU has always known what was going on, FSU will cancel WVU game in 2013 at Mountaineer field soon because they are expecting to play a 9 game season in 2013 with the additions of Pitt and Cuse, and the payout that is made to FSU will be in the amount of $150k.

WVU actually requested that FSU switch the home and homes but ultimately this series will be cancelled. Therefore FSU will probably either schedule a new home/home series with someone else or us our payment to help intice someone for 1 game.

During Saturday afternoon's men's basketball game at FSU, Spetman told the Orlando Sentinel that FSU has already begun making calls to various schools to fill the vacancy. Among them: Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Rutgers, Syracuse and Pittsburgh.

As of yet, none of the schools has agreed to play the Seminoles.

FSU and WVU are actually very close AD departments. And there is a lot of ties between both programs, Bowden, Trickett, and Fisher is originally from Clarksburg, WV. This is a game WVU/FSU was looking forward to.

Note: A lot more schools are willing to come play FSU on Sept 8th, the real issue is the Big East Voids.

In the end Pitt makes the most sense taking this spot since they will be in the ACC in 2012 with Cuse being in the same sub conference as FSU. Second choice would probably be Rutgers who is open that week also.

There's a catch, though. Sources indicate that the contract between WVU and FSU for games in 2012 in Tallahassee and 2013 in Morgantown also contains a clause that would relieve WVU of paying the penalty if Florida State manages to replace the Mountaineers with a comparable opponent.

So in the end both would have an oppurtunity to sue each other because of comparable opponents. So who are comparable opponents to WVU and FSU.

* (Rumor) Could FSU AD be writing a letter that states Pitt and Cuse is not comparable to WVU, and is ACC Commish pissed and stepping in over it?

** To answer a question above WVU netted ~$750k dollars of sells from beer, WVU has a contract with Sodexo which basically pays WVU a ~$1 a beer, Beer is $7,$8,$9 each. Yes we love to drink up her on gamedays, Morgantown is a blast.

Everybody sue everyone! - MacPhisto

WVU has an agreement on table to leave Big East. They wouldn't have bought out FSU if they didn't. Remember it was FSU that announced the buyout, not WVU. Expect it to be resolved by the end of the week and lawsuits to be set aside.

No clue what the plans are, but I'd be floored in WVU is in the Big East this fall.

Pitt and Cuse leave after next year.

I hope that there's a conclusion soon. This is turning into a Univision Novela.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
