To win the three games, go to the St. Pete Bowl and lose to UCF or not make a bowl game at all?

Barring a huge implosion larger than our current one, UCF will be making a much better bowl.

What have we become?

It's a down year Bulliever.  Happens to every team eventually.  Ask Urban Meyer.  With a couple less turnovers they would have lost to USF as well.  If you want to look at the bright side of things, we have the same number of losses as the Gators.  This year was going to be pretty much the same no matter who was coaching, including CJL.

To answer the initial question, miss the Bowl and keep our undefeated record against UCiF, because they would more than likely kick our butts this year.

Don't go bowling.

A bowl loss to UCF would be a dagger through the heart, preserve the 4-0 record.

Sitting out the bowl season is not the end of the world.

everyone gets so hot and horny over going to a bowl game.. a St. Pete Bowl is basically like not going bowling. it's the equivalent of getting a trophy in little league for participation.

That's a fan's perspective.  To players, at least when I was that age, another game was another game and you wanted to play as long as you could.  Pick up some gifts and have the experience. 

We go through this conversation a lot.  Would a recruit rather go to a team with a record of going to a bowl every year, or not going to a bowl every year?  Pretty simple.

With so many bowls, including the St. Pete Toilet Bowl, you have to be pretty **** horrible not to go to one somewhere... so not going says a lot.

Sure, we have a ton of bowls, as they have evolved into an entertainment venue to fill ESPN time-slots. But we

all know that it's that handful of bowls that really garners interest.  In 2001, North Texas had an overall losing record (5-6) , but by being the conference champion did go bowling. I think that's one of those  instances where you don't want to break your arm patting yourself on the back. So, while not going says a lot, sometimes, a lot needs to be said.  8-)
