Again we ran the ball 37 times for 94 yards. it wasn't there. They forced us to pass.

They forced us to pass.nobody forces you to pass unless you're down by 2 scores in the 4th quarter. apparently you never watched the bucs under dungy. those 4 sacks for -34 yards were pass plays. add the 34 back into the rushing stats and subtract the 4 and you get 3.9 ypc. not great but good enough to win that ugly game if the coaches play conservatively and protect the ball. why are we calling pass plays in scoring range especially on first down? that makes no sense with this personnel. we threw 2 picks and were sacked once leading to a missed field goal in scoring territory. that's dumb play calling. The opposing defense only needs to watch where he is looking to figure out where is going to toss the ball. Thus its easy to shut down our passing game when BJ is only going to throw to 1 of our 3 wide outs.Again the ESPN announcers pointed out on 7 different times throughout the game that if BJ would had thrown it to the wide open receiver on the other side of the field then its an easy Bulls TD. 7 times we had a guy wide open with no one within 15 yards of him.Do the math 7 x 7 = 49 points not counting the point after kick. Holtz needs to not call as many passing plays because of it. Calling 27 pass plays in a game in which USF is leading or tied pretty much the whole way is too much, Daniels hasn't demonstrated he's better than the running game would be. I would expect 10 to 15 passing plays and the rest runs, but even that would only work if Daniels could be more effective on that limited number.Yes if Daniels fails to execute the plays then the playcalling doesn't make a difference, but that's why you take the ball out of Daniels' hands. USF could have won that game even with Daniels' poor performance.

Our receivers are getting wide open, we just need someone with the poise and ability to scan the field and get them **** the ball.
