We paid Heath 600k per year. Hugs would have needed 2, 3, or 4 times that much. Please stop.

The biggest obstacle was Judy G is friends with the president of Cincy, and after a conversation with their president she said there was no way she was allowing Huggy Bear to coach in Tampa....If you remember Huggy & Natti didnt end on the best of terms...

That would have been an obstacle IF it got that far.  It never got that far, it never got anywhere.  It was some alum interested in a change, Mcmurph using that as a basis for the story, and then Hug's agent taking it a step further.  USF had no discussions, Hug's was never contemplated...I don't know how or why that's not clear to some?

Wasn't Huggins gone by that time? Highly doubt Cincy's President had any say.

Cincy's Prez couldn't "block" a hire ... but could offer a "negative reference."

Highly unlikely. When an employee leaves or is terminated, all you ever say to anyone is the name and date. Too many legal beagles out there chasing lawsuits for the UC Prez to have actually said anything of substance. The most she would have done is make meaningful silence.

K-State was TERRIBLE before he got there.

Not to be redundant ... again ... but the USF program was nowhere near where the K State program was ... Take off the green and gold goggles. The Huggy Bear caper was another one of BM's ******** "stories" ...

Huggins is one of the top 5 greatest bball coaches of all time.  His stats are absurd.  Def the greatest college bball coach to have not won a national title..

Guy gets it done at every place he has been.

Can't believe no one has called you on this.  How old are you, 15?  Top 5 of ALL TIME???

John Wooden - UCLA

Pete Carill - Princeton

Jack Kraft - Villanova

Adoph Rupp - Kentucky

Lou Carneseca - St. Johns

Dean Smith - North Carolina

All better coaches than Huggins that coached before you were born probably.  And there are plenty more.

We can discuss current coaches if you like, but I've made my point.
