Huggins has zero class and doesn't graduate his kids. He's a redneck with a high basketball IQ. Not the right coach for USF. Heath is awesome and the best hire Woolard could make at the time. Woolard has hired three great coaches and should get alot more credit for the job he is doing.

K-State was TERRIBLE before he got there.

Huggins is one of the top 5 greatest bball coaches of all time.  His stats are absurd.  Def the greatest college bball coach to have not won a national title..

Guy gets it done at every place he has been.

Can't believe no one has called you on this.  How old are you, 15?  Top 5 of ALL TIME???

John Wooden - UCLA

Pete Carill - Princeton

Jack Kraft - Villanova

Adoph Rupp - Kentucky

Lou Carneseca - St. Johns

Dean Smith - North Carolina

All better coaches than Huggins that coached before you were born probably.  And there are plenty more.

We can discuss current coaches if you like, but I've made my point.

Mike Kryzewski

Roy Williams

Tom Izzo

Jim Calhoun

Jim Boeheim

Rick Pitino

All nice lists...but I hate including the cheatin son-of-a-bi**h Calipari among those peers.  Two Final Four teams, and both had to vacate their appearance.  UK will follow behind those others.  The others mentioned all held high caliber programs and class.  Johnny boy has been accused of cheating every step of the way.

great article.

might have been one of the most obvious shows of the kind of man Bobby Huggins is.  This moment with him hugging his player like his only son and wiping his tears and shedding his own will get him recruits alone.  Say what you will about Bobby Huggins and these lists of better coaches but I bet his player approval rating is one of the top all time. Thats stuff gets noticed.

and to say you wouldnt want him at USF means you never watched college basketball before.  not hard to believe when I see the attendance at our games.

Bob Huggins is a GREAT coach but yes, i think that he would of left USF for WVU as soon as he got the chance.  we almost had him before he went to K State not before he went to WVU.

and yea..huggins isnt a top 20 of all time.  but he is probably the best coach in the big east RIGHT NOW.

the way he recruits NY/NJ is insane.  hard to believe a guy from WV can do that but he is tough.  just like the players he recruits.

obviously USF has lacked toughness since....well since i can remember.  kentrell was good but not tough (disclaimer...i have only been watching usf basketball since 2002)
