I can't tell you how awesome this is, we now have a few running backs to choose from and not just ok running back but quality running backs.  Mr. Hall might have just been a glimps of what is to come.

Go Bulls.

Taylor was pretty much Bama from his junior season until they fired Shula, then he started having other thoughts.

Youre're right he was a Bama commit for quite sometime, but all the Lakeland guys committed early last year it was a real odd situation.  Taylor really wanted UF but they never offered.

Taylor is an excellent combo back, a really do it all type of player.  IF Ford gets back to his old form there are few that can compare, but if Taylor didn't have to split the bill with Rainey he would have racked up one of the gaudy 2000 yard type seasons too.

Kelly's just a pure FB type he doesn't come close to having the slide step, or cutback that Taylor has, but Kelly's also a load at 240lbs, but had trouble holding onto the ball at the FL Shrine All-Star game...

I second what Cuban stays, someday having a backfield with Kelly leading for Ford or Taylor will be absolutely lethal in short-yardage- something USF has never had.  Oh, and it would insure we could keep Samuels protected, and allow us to move Butler.

Can he (or is he?) start working out with the team now before his paper work is finalized?

I think that Kelly will definately RS with Taylor on board.

That would be better, seeing as how Taylor already has 3-4 months of conditioning from Alabama.

Don't be surprised if Taylor sees time at RB.  He's got a versatility similar to Ford, and lots of tools more then you see in a FB.  Watch the highlight film and on many of his runs if he had been able to line up 5 yards in the backfield and get a full head of steam he would have had more bigger runs.

I sure hope that isn't the case. Kelly can come in and help immediately at a position where we could use some help. Imagine him plowing thriugh the line and paving the way for the likes of Ford, Samuels, Taylor, Williams, etc.

Kelly's play will be the indicator ... but as only a FB, Ford would be able to do it. We do have a single set O and wouldn't want to burn a potentially deep RB position. In 2007, Williams is the only JR and basicly the rest are FR. Kelly is potentially a major Back for us and would he rather get stronger and learn our Offense in 2007.

Kelly will show us on the field.

Back to the subject ... Taylor. Saw quite a bit of him live and he is something. He went to 'bama early because he could have contributed as a True FR ... he'll show us some great things.

Gotsta Love this Depth !

Good point Bien, he is always starting so close to the line. He also is an excellant blocker.  He held his blocks very long.  He looks alot like Hall in the respect that he seems to move very well between the tackles and if he is given more room could be explosive.  A very complete RB.
