just heard on 620 wdae that the Sun Sentinel is reporting that Saban is out in Miami.. what does this mean for Mike Ford and potentially Robert Marve coming here?  will they head to Bama now that Saban is there?  Saban is a great coach, the kind of coach kids want to play for.  This isn't some coordinator upgraded to HC.  this is a championship caliber coach.  should we be worried?

Heard oficial conference is at 10 AM ET, do not expect to lose Ford ... may hurt our slim chances with Marve.

Marve, we probably had a snowball's chance in hell at... slim to none.

Ford... I feel pretty secure with him coming here, especially with the ties to Amarri and the knowledge that he'll get playing time immediately.

I cant see Ford changing his mind since his mom was so high on USF and his tie ins with Amarri.  But i think this could definitly hurt our slim to none chances at Marve.

I believe his dad used to work for USF - Sarasota and some students found out that he couldn't read (at least very well). So they tutored him. Great connection to USF.

I dunno if Marve was seriuously coming anyway, butit won't affect Ford.

ESPN News reports that Saban has officially agreed to become Alabama's coach.

Now, I heard this morning that Saban is not someone who gets along with his players... basically that he is a BIG jerk.  Not sure if that is either true or if that would affect anyone.  Just relaying the info I heard.

If Ford wanted to leave, can he just withdraw his verbal?  Are there any rules reguarding this (keeping in mind that he was going to go there to begin with)?  I thought his big push for USF was his sick mom or something???
