I think Drummer said it best, we need to look at each 2 for 1 seperately.  I wouldn't want to do it all the time, but getting Texas at RayJay would be sweet.  Now a 2 for 1 against Kansas, no thank you.

Agreed. I don't think we should go running around taking every 2 for 1 or 1 game series out there. However, if a top 10 program like Texas says they will come to your place if you play them twice (I'd ask for staggered dates, i.e. - 2007 @ TX; 2008 @ USF; 2010 @ Texas) why not! It's a guarenteed sellout. You get to match wits with a big boy and you have a GREAT chance of getting a prime TV spot.

Another alternative I could suggest is making one of the Texas games at Houston...

Title of post is mis leading article does not say a 2 for 1 with Texas they were offered a game at Texas no mention of a future game or games. there too many schools out there to sign a game with a team that may or may not be ranked in 2011.

"he wasn't interested in an uneven series" implies more than 1 game and it implies Texas would've received more home games than USF.

It's pretty simple to assume it was a 2 for 1.

BTW, 5 Texas fans have already purchased UCF season tickets for 2007.

I am sure UM will do the same in 09...   ::)

5? LOL Dude even if 100 of them buy season tix that would be less than 10% of your season sales.

Maybe Greg can clarify it a bit better because the way it reads you could say it could be 1 game, or multiple.

Either way, I do agree with not selling ourselves out for 2 for 1's that aren't in our favor.
