  1. O'Liar is a jacka$$. Would you really want this disgruntled kid in your program even for just one year? The kid could tear your locker room in half and spout $hit to future recruits. If he doesn't want to be there cut him loose.
  2. Redfisher - If that is true then he really is a *****. Maybe my tag line should change to Don't call that kid Grady, call him shizzithead.
  3. JoeB - I was at the banquet too. I immediately became a fan of Heintz. Seems like a great person with a never quit attitude.
  4. Can't cancel becuase I've never subscribed. They burned bridges with me years ago. Maybe USF doesn't need an "Official Newspaper".
  5. Basketbull - I think the date went ok. However, I like someone that puts out on the first date (just joking for any feminist or others that may be offended). I would've liked to have heard that a visit was scheduled. I'll try to be patient.
  6. During one of my many trips to Maryland Chicken I sat next to a soon to be Bull, Antwan Fleming. After hearing reports of the USA Today Parade All American coming into camp heavy and out of shape it made me remember the near bucket of chicken he put down.
  7. Whoo Hooo!!!!!!!!! Please tell me it's from Maryland Fried Chicken in Plant City. You can't beat their fried chicken!
  8. No they aren't. They will be late this year. I'm sure it has to do with our RJS negotiations.
  9. Mama Bull - I agree 100% that Mr. Woolard is trying to do what is best for USF. Not only is that his job but he is a man of high integrity, a borderline perfectionist, extremely thorough, etc. Those traits along with many others that he possesses are traits of someone who wants to do the best job they can and hates to fail. I for one would never question Mr. Woolards intentions, work ethic, etc. As a rabid fan I'm hoping we can land the best candidate possible. I am realistic in that I know we can't go to the $1 million and up club. However, I am anxious becuase I think there are several coaches that would be pefect fits for our school and none of them seem to be in the mix according to public reports. And yes, we all know that not everything is shared with the media, nor should it be.
  10. Velcro - The article was from today and says as of "Tuesday" Heath had not been contacted. Maybe he was on Tuesday night. None the less approximately 24 hours passed and we haven't attempted to contact him. If you don't get involved early you may not have a chance to get involved.
  11. Meanwhile, fired Arkansas coach Stan Heath, who told The Tampa Tribune on Monday night he was interested in the USF job, said Tuesday he has not been contacted by USF. "People say that's a tough job, it's hard to win there and how much of a challenge it is," Heath said. "I'm not scared of a challenge. I can get the job done." Full article at: http://www.tbo.com/sports/bulls/MGBSD8K8TZE.html I love the confidence this guy displays. Just the type of person we need to turn this ship around. Why are we not at least talking to him?
  12. Yeah, maybe he should've went with the extra letter and called us UMessF
  13. Mess = Not having the full allotment of scholarship players becuase the previous coach could not recruit.  He was giving walk-on's scholarships to pad his numbers.  We started a walk-on point guard in the Big East for an extended period of time.  Kid worked his a$$ off and deserved a scholarship but we should've never been in that position with a decent coach. Mess = Donor's and ticket holders lack of interest in the program becuase we've had a run of 4 or 5 years with horrible records. Mess = Moving from CUSA to the BE and just now starting to recognize some of the BE dollars to help with the budget.  Facility improvements are planned, higher coaching spending is planned.  Unfortunately we needed it 4 or 5 years ago. Mess = Keeping a coach 1 season longer than we should've and not having a replacement lined up to take his spot immediately after firing him or at least having a vaild list of replacements you are certain would take the job if offered. If you were to call the program a mess then those would be the shortfalls. However, I would consider a mess to be a scandal ridden program, cheating program, etc. which we certainly are not. We are in need of improvement but a mess in my mind is something different.
  14. You don't need to $hit on your hometown team for no reason. Nothing wrong with pointing out facts but no reason to bash the school in front of hundreds of thousands of readers.
  15. It is my understanding Mitchell's agent really screwed this up. He had a chance a while ago to extend his contract for $3 or $4 million per year but his agent was looking for upwards of $5 million per year. Sometimes you just have to take a good offer and not worry about a great offer.
  16. Who's to say that when meeting this weekend Woolard didn't get the warm fuzzies that he felt like he needed and let Marshall know that he was going to continue his search. This gives Marshall a chance to pull out.
  17. That's classic Brett McMurphy for you. I can't wait until someone hires the guy and moves him out of town.
  18. Not sure I'm real excited about this. Winthrop is the best team in a horrible conference. Can this guy recruit Big East caliber players?
