I’ll accept the heartbreak, because for the first time in a long time (outside of our consistently successful WBB program) the South Florida Bulls gave me something to be heartbroken about

Yep. They are a bad matchup for us right now because of how physical they play and how hard they take it to the rim. Not having Corey Walker may have been the difference in this game.

The first time we ever made the top 25 was this year and I don’t remember us ever demanding we dance.  We went on a fortuitous run to win the sun Belt tourney in 90 and that was completely out of the blue.  91-92 we had a good team, had good wins and lost the first game of the Metro tourney, making it that year was a surprise after the first round exit in the conference tournament.  2012 was completely out of character and were the last four in and  had to compete in the play in game.  Your rose colored glasses of the past are incredibly deceiving unless this was an attempt at humor, if so I misses the sarcasm font.

Hard to deny that one and UAB seemed like the tougher team to me.  Their defense had us stifled by putting 4 guys at the 3 point line and we would still try to shoot 3s.  Also their offensive rebounds.
