Anything after the regular season, is a big bonus for me! Exactly! I’m happy with this season no matter what happens. Hoping USF goes to the Big Dance to award the team & coaching staff for what they have already accomplished this season. First thing is 1st is to win the AAC championship Saturday & then the AAC tournament

Everybody will wake up come tournament time. It’s the way in.

bullsbucsfan426 Posted February 27 Group: Member Topic Count: 129 Content Count: 3,114 Reputation: 471 Days Won: 7 Joined: 11/28/2010 Share Posted February 27 It's pretty much tournament or bust at this point. In past years the NIT would have been a viable consolation goal, but with the P5+BE mucking things up to benefit them, you're going to have teams ranked in the 60s and 70s in the NET who will be on the NIT bubble since the field has effectively shrunk by 20 teams. I'm sure CAAR isn't overpressuring the players, they have so much self-confidence and belief that they can and will win. I just don't want them to go from being on the verge of dancing to potentially not going anywhere because of the early season gelling issues. That's why winning the conference tourney is so important. At that point the question is "where are we seeded" not "are we going".

So do we put walk-ons in and rest everyone for the tournament?

Okay, typo, 12 teams, but even so. Those 20 are going to generally be ranked higher in the NET because of the way things are set up.

If we're getting consideration for the Big Dance, then surely an NIT bid wouldn't be a pipe dream Edited February 27 by olafberserker
