I don't believe he quit on the team at all.

I do believe that he didn't give Coach and the new staff a chance, which is pretty surprising seeing as to the offense that we would be running and how beneficial it would have be for Brian.

He left the team. Even if he played out the season, he left before giving the new coach a chance. He could have been the feature of our offense along with BB. He chased the money. I believe he was the one player out of him, weaver and horn that said he wasn't leaving and then he ended up leaving anyway.

Can't blame the kid for leaving, but CAG is correct in closing this chapter on Battie.

Good or bad. He chased the money. NOTHING says he wouldn't do it again. Certainly NOT his word.

Next play…er!

Would Battie have benefited us? Probably.

I don’t think the positives would have outweighed the headache that this precedent would have allowed.

I am kind of surprised Horn and Wesver didn't lobby for him to come play for Prime . Their running  game and return game struggled.  He would be help both issues and could be used as another weapon. Thanks for wanting to get back to being a bull, but as I learned over a decade ago getting back with you ex rarely works out.

Maybe they aren't as close as you think they are.

Or maybe, there's a reason he didn't go to Colorado in the first place but we don't know about

I have no idea how close they are. Nor do I care.   Horn and weaver  quit on the bulls  last year and Battie left he team after saying he was staying. Battie at least finished the season. I am glad Colorado didn't go bowling .

CAG really had no room for Battie. I dont think it was personal.
