This was a huge improvement over the past four years. Huge. Bear in mind we had a weak schedule and the only team we beat that has a winning record was FAMU. That's it. Every other win was over a team which finished the year under .500. We did the absolute, rock-bottom, bare-minimum necessary to get to a bowl game, and that came down to the last game of the year against the worst team in the conference. Point being the bar was set very low (-4.5 Vegas) and we exceeded expectations. No complaints whatsoever and hopefully this year serves as a steppingstone to an even better record next fall.

Good year for football. Golesh has brought some life back into the program. Verry excited about all the new recruits he is bringing in, and hopefully we can finish the year strong against Syracuse.

Next year will be be more challenging since our schedule is filled with tough games ( Miami, Alabama, Tulane, Memphis, at FAU, UAB,, at Southern Miss...).

Hopefully we can see something similar happening in men's basketball.

Team given defensive talent we have did about as well as they can Do. Golesh knows defense Needs a huge injection of talent and speed...as that part Scott neglected big time.

DL did pretty good...secondary needs a huge overhaul like 90% need to go in portal and play some FCS ball.

Golesh is obviously working OT to get this team loaded with talent...with enough we can dominate at the G5 level atleast.

I feel good about the trajectory of program.

Just as a point of order and clarification, Rice was at .500 and Navy finished under .500 because they didn't beat us. The other 3 wins were indeed against abysmal teams .....

Another interesting thing to look at was the two teams that dropped 56 on us, both finished below us in conference and total wins ..... and we actually scored more points overall than either of them. Further reinforcing the "**** Kids" and "Rivalry *********" theories for those two head scratching losses.

Tulane probably won't be as hard as we think. They are losing their coach, rumors of qb transferring, talent to the pros, and they have af first time head coach. Lets hope he is closer to Jeff Scott to Golesh.

Memphis if we improve  on defense we have a good  chance at beating this( close this year with the worst passing defense in fbs football),

FAU/UAB we better come to beat the brakes off them full throttle no excuses.

Miami is a toss up because they have a p5 advantage but like the bulls they have been their own worse enemy for over a decade,

Southern Miss- Betable because we have better recruiting and talent

Bama-  Probably will get killed. Bama Will seek revenge from last year and it is at home.

Not trying to be a duushbagger, but If UAB pull that "kid cancer patient names on the back of the jersey" thing again, then we are going to have to send them UAB players back to the locker room and console those kids who expected a win. lol

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
