In the Summer, the sun will be in the southern sky, meaning maximized misery for the visitor's side during the hot part of the season and then more sun for everyone toward the end of the season when the warmth is welcomed.

Well the WKU game proves that this works.

VPMK said the concourse would be open to the field in between the lower and upper sections to have view of the field and the game.

If you're saying that the divider between the upper and lower sections below is actually open concourse to be able to stand and see the field, then I'm pretty happy with this initial rendering.  Allows me to mill around in the shade, have a drink and still watch the game.  I still hate the delay and the metal supports, maybe they'll be covered by concrete looking columns to fool the eye.  I'm getting more on board with this.

In the presentation he mentioned exactly this.

As a follow-up, the heptagon is:

The heptagon is a symbol of balance. The only geometric shape which cannot be bisected by a whole number, the heptagon embodies the day God rested, the seven colors of the rainbow, and represents feeling and instincts including love. The heptagon also relates to the seven chakras of the body. These nodes of energy when in balance can assist in healing and conscious well-being. It is a symbol of inward containment and the union of the spiritual triangle with the four elements. Closely related is the heptagram or seven-pointed star, a sacred symbol in Wiccan tradition.

So maybe not bad?

Of all the games I went to at Tampa Stadium/RJS from 97-2005, I don't ever remember thinking about shade.  Getting rained on was worse.  And no, I wasn't high up tucked under an overhang.  Never did I retreat to the club.

There is no shade in ASU stadium in the freaking desert.  You roast a bit there, in Tampa you perspire.  But it's part of the game day experience.  Let's grow some horns Bulls!

Same.  I don't get it. Of course I was the guy on the feasibility study saying I don't care about screens or seatbacks.

They have to factor in all customers though...

It doesn't look like it's $340m.  It's probably $200m.

OK I am 100% on board with heptagons now.  I need my new age crystals from Sedona and my energy vortex.

This is a symbol of God's love for USF and erases any burial ground or Jim Leavitt curses.

How will that coincide with the Indian Burial Ground curse?  Does one cancel the other? Do they join forces and we get struck by lightning while walking into the first game? Inquiring (and bored) minds want to know.

I've read thru the thread but haven't looked at the pics closely yet. I probably would not have picked up on metal supports but will now look for them. Still a little confused by the east/west thing for shade. Can understand it for the wind/breeze but being on the west side of RayJay most people are in the shade after a short while for the 3:30 games.  Don't see how that works being on the south side. The closer you get to Dec 21st the more shade the south side will get but not seeing the early Sept games being much benefit.

Maybe it's time to spend the kid's inheritance and spring for a suite or something.
