Yes good talent could make him look better but he has a scheme problem and positioning players. Bad angles. He is easily outcoached every game. Good coaches do more with less. Players out of position and consistently taking bad angles, IMO, is a coaching problem. IF the problem is talent and speed then those issues need to be addressed in recruiting.

However, our SoS is 98th this year vs 74th last year and we're allowing 48 ppg the last four games so we're trending in the wrong direction. Defense is at least as bad as last year, maybe better on effort and tackles but the end product is nowhere close to good enough. This has actually been the worst defense with the easiest schedule over the last 5 years. We have to account for the competition. WSS how those stats end up after the last three games are completed. I do believe there is only one shootout invitations (UTSA) left on the schedule. I don’t recall USF having this many shootout games on their schedule in previous seasons so stats may not tell the whole story

Again, my opinion, but I think Temple will throw the ball at will vs our defense.

It's there all day.

Sounds like a very flawed strategy. Perhaps winning the time of possession battle isn’t an outdated concept. You think UAB or FAU are loaded with defensive talent…of course not. We are getting smoked by lousy AAC schools. FAU was apparently loaded last year ... really loaded ... since their defense finished at # 64, coached by someone who supposedly doesn't know what the **** he's doing.
