Unfortunately, where we are, if we have a successful coach, they will be here 2 years max. We will then cycle through coaches until we find a bad one. He will be here 3-4 years and then be fired. It will be a constant process of cycling through coaches until we find a bad one unless we can get into a bigger conference. That's just the nature of being a G5 program. It's hard to build a program without the big money to retain key people.

We have seen it time and time again in CFB.  We need to show that you can win here.  Much easier to have a coach that just steps in and maintains a winning culture.  Versus a total rebuild.  One thing going for us is the OCS will be coming and will be an attractive asset.

We win 2 FBS games and we are talking about the first year coach getting poached? May need to slow our roll, either way wouldn’t we have a pretty significant buyout in his contract after only one year if he chooses to bounce?

Dude, we were talking about him getting poached before he even won 1 FCS game ....

Y'all worry to much. If he gets poached, that means we won something of significance. If so, great we won something! No one is taking CAG unless he wins big. Like NY6/playoffs big. We can thank CWT for that.

Was thinking the same thing. We're losing him and Byrum Brown after winning a couple of conference games. I'm probably one of the more pessimistic people on here but, man, let's enjoy this improvement while we can.

This is why so many of us wanted Jim. Would never be an issue with him! In the meantime, go CAG!

It's not just the wins. It's how he managed to completely turn a team of guys who spent last year getting blown out on a regular basis into an immediately competitive team that not only played up to Alabama but has blown away teams and repeatedly made critical plays in crucial moments.

We are Loyola Marymount on grass - if we’re clicking on offense (making plays when the plays are there to be made), it’s a defense’s worst nightmare.

You’re going to hear repeatedly this season how defenses are tired in the fourth quarter. There’s conditioning - and then there’s conditioning. The fact more coaches haven’t taken the Golesh approach with players on offense is somewhat stunning. I remember running routes in practice or in garbage minutes and going from one side of the field to the next side of the field… then going in motion, etc. You’re **** near tired by the time the ball gets snapped. He’s cutting distances down for the receivers, etc., thereby giving them extra recovery time. We’re seeing the benefits from it.
