I prefer grass as well, but with lacrosse reportedly sharing the stadium turf may be in the realm of consideration.

Honestly, I don't understand why lacrosse won't share with soccer.  Maybe someone could clarify that for me.

Title IX.

Spending $340 million on football only would be a possible issue, but saying this is for a men's sport and a women's sport helps bring that back into balance.

Very quickly and sloppily threw together a mock up of the checkerboard pattern using a rendering of the Vols stadium I found on Google.  I only changed the colors in one end zone from their orange and white to our official colors and took their logo off the field and added the one posted earlier on here. I am an amateur at this stuff but I wanted a glimpse of it so I made it the best I could without wasting time doing research to learn how to make it better. Don't look closely lol.

The top one. Shows SOUTH FLORIDA which is part of our identity and is in the memos to the media outlets to use SOUTH FLORIDA not USF so we don’t keep getting mistaken for UCiF. The checker endzones looks like Navy’s home field

Nice job! I definitely think the top one is the one the administration would have in mind, if the field is turf. That looks like a lot of background paint for a grass field even though I think it looks best. If it’s a semi-permanent color of turf, they may be more creative with the colors and design rather than having to repaint it every week. If it’s paint, I think they go with more of a simple “BULLS” with empty background.

Also don't forget there's going to be lacrosse lines all over it.  Need to figure out how to make those disappear a bit while still usable for the X team. It can be a lot of clutter for football.
