Update after week 3 - USF's percentage ticked up in every remaining game, and USF is now favored over FAU for the Homecoming game.

  • Rice 58.0% - USF 42.0%
  • Navy 62.5% - USF 37.5%
  • UAB 60.7% - USF 39.3%
  • USF 50.8% - FAU 49.2%
  • UConn 51.7% - USF 48.3%
  • Mem 85.1% - USF 14.9%
  • USF 61.0% - Tem 39.0%
  • UTSA 80.0% - USF 20.0%
  • USF 62.0% - Char 38.0%

I am curious about where the odds come from.  Someone's software program I suppose.  Assume the uptick is due to our performance and our opponents.  Good to be trending up.

I had us bowling and still believe.

We are underdogs in every game until we start winning. A hungry dog Is a scary dog.

Not technically true.  USF was not an underdog last week... and there will be games USF will be a favored to win - possibly even starting this week.   (Odds Shark has USF winning 27-21)

We win 3 of the next 5 and we're 95% going bowling!

We are an underdog versus any fbs team until we prove we can win a few games in a row. Got to break the chains of losing  .

If the team I saw yesterday shows up the rest of the season, we are going bowling for sure.

Crazy I just simulated the USF on NCAA14 with College Football Revamped with latest rosters and coaches. It has USF playing Bama in a bowl game at 10-3 against a 7-5 Bama. The losses were Bama, WKU, and Memphis. We beat SMU in the championship game.

That’s how I had it in a post I made last night with us winning out with the exception of 1 loss to Memphis during conference play. I then had us playing Memphis again in the AAC championship and winning. Could be against SMU but I still have us winning that one as well. A 7-5 Bama is possible. I have them losing this coming Saturday at home. They have some big problems this season. One being, they’re just not that good. Would be awesome to have a rematch against them after a season of massive growth and success for us. Give us time to work things out on the offense and keep the defense rolling and we very well could take a win over Bama back to Tampa in December. Would definitely make for an interesting start to next season after using this season’s presumptive success on the recruiting trail, rematch with Alabama next season in Tuscaloosa. I’m getting ahead of myself A LOT but we could be rolling by then.

Poking the ESPN estimator tool, some of U of SF's odds-to-win numbers have gone up:

...the highlighted cells are the ones over 50%, but Rice & Uconn are not difficult reaches (as of 12:19 a.m. 9/18/23).
