Yeah like get blown out by Oregon in the Sun Bowl.   Nothing better than traveling to El Paso and listening to the locals loudly mock your team after the 1st quarter.

Jim Leavitt did it?

I am not inclined to nitpick this guy since this may be the first positive thing I have heard or read that he said about USF.  You take what you can get, especially in these hard times.

I don't expect you know the reason for that shellacking, but why start now?

I really wouldn't care if USF gets 2 wins a season from Jim Leavitt. He did such a fantastic job here that I feel giving him a few years is equivalent to when you give a disabled kid the free run to the endzone. He just deserves it man. It gets me hyped just imagining him coming back. I know I'd be back in the stands again.

Weren’t we only down by a few points at halftime in the sun bowl and then we were outscored 28-0 in the third

I remember there being some talk about things I cannot prove and do not know for certain but I will state what I do know.

First of all, Oregon was a legitimate favorite to win the national championship before they had injuries at QB.  They were arguably much better than USF even before both teams took a dive.  Also, the things which you admired Leavitt for (getting players to play above their heads through emotion) were also something you could criticize him for since his teams did fall flat at times. I think if USF had earned their way to the Sun Bowl with late wins rather than settling for this bowl, you may have seen a better effort

I think that our VP of Athletics and our President should have a sit down with Jim Leavitt.

I am starting to think these anti-Jim Leavitt posts are Russian Misinformation Bots.  You know, the thing!

Are we really going to say that Taggarts 10 wins in the AAC are "better" than Leavitts 9 wins in a BCS conference? Just trying to get the lay of the land. And if wins, no matter the opponent, are the benchmark, then CCS should be considered the best coach we have ever had.
