Where does this mindset that we should expect a few wins come from?

USF isn't playing in the SEC. The conference is bad and is only going to get worse. Being a middling team in a bad conference is not a huge success, I don't care what year it is.

And you get to live in Tampa Bay, which is the best area in the state of Florida.

As you can see from my avi, I was raised in (the real) south Florida, but Tampa Bay is the best place to live in Florida by far.

This. Plus I'd imagine our investment in athletics is looking pretty good compared to a lot of the new AAC.

Brand new 22 million dollar IPF and an On Campus Stadium that'll be ready while your recruits are upperclassman feel like huge recruiting tools. Would have to be incompetent to not pull in the #1 recruiting class in the conference.

The new stadium needs to be a selling point to coaches. Deion Sanders has an ego, let him know if he wins here they'll be calling a stadium the "house that primetime built"

What do you think he means by the last line in that post?  Geography (beaches, etc)?  Less pressure to produce?  Less taxation?

Georgia Tech and Colorado.

Those jobs you have an admin apathetic towards athletics and are dwarfed by other brands in your conference. Will be an uphill battle to look impressive and get a blue blood job.

At USF with the new IPF and stadium in the new AAC in Tampa you should be able to finish top of the conference in recruiting each year.

I think he's talking about the success that can be had. USF in the AAC *should* be able to be near the top of the conference often. Vs unrealistic expectations at Auburn, or complete disarray at Colorado and Nebraska. I mean, y'all have a mess to clean up too but are seemingly in a better spot to rebound than those two.

Didn't read it that way. With a 12 team playoff coming it could be an easier route to the playoffs.  Coaches have no time for beaches.  Jeezus, Skip played some golf and people still crucify him.  Be like the picture of Chris Cristie, former NJ governor sitting on the beach by himself after he closed down the beaches (maybe because of hurricane Sandy?)

The taxation thing is always nice.
