I just don't watch the tape and move on with the better things in life.

We are much worse when we play against the fast tempo offense.

Florida and Cincinnati are slow tempo offense team.

I don't think our defense has improved at all.

In a vacuum, the game yesterday was prototypical of USF even when we were winning: playing a Top 25 team close with a chance to win at the end. Some we won, some we lost. I think yesterday and the Florida game felt closer to what we've always been. But yeah the Louisville, ECU, and BYU games happened and I don't think anyone is happy with that.

So we lost again , lost  to 2-3 decent ranked programs programs, are 0-2 in conference, 0-3 versus ranked  teams, and got blown out by 2 bad teams (lville, ecu). Progress has not been made but maybe getting closer if we can take this loss into a win next week. If stop searching for a new coach.

oklahoma is shocking

venables eas considered a great coach

He seems to be like a lot of Dabo's tree of coaching great OC/DC bad  mediocre to worst FBs coach. HE wanted to turn OK into a defensive team and they forgot how to play offense and defense. I never understood why coaches want to change a programs identity.

Agreed, our offense helped control the tempo by keeping the ball.  We did get them off the field on 3rd down though

Yeah we are too chaotic, it would be a good move for a team to suddenly flip the script on us in key moments.

****. Good point! Let's hope we are working on that in practice.

it's all just smoke and mirrors, nothing has improved

im sure someone on the team, at some point, will figure out how to win. maybe it's this season. maybe next. who knows, i'll just be watching unamused but enjoying the smell of tailgate bbq

I looked up the plays per game and you are right. Louisville and ECU are ranked 39th and 40th. Cincy is 76th and Florida is 122nd. BYU is the outlier at 118th.

BYU is the outlier because our poor execution and play calling gave them 28 pts  to start the game. Who knows what their pace on offense would have been because we wouldn’t let them go slow.
