IF CJS is coaching against an FBS school we have a high probability of losing regardless of humidity. The other team has a coaching advantage almost every game. I would say having cjs at the helm gives the other team more of an advantage than any case of high heat and high humidity might give.

Agreed.  BYU will definitely have the coaching advantage on 9/3.

I also feel that our teams haven't really been that deep. So maybe having a smaller rotation negates the "humidity advantage". This year, we are deep in all positions.

This is probably the single most positive factor going into this season. Not only depth, but experienced depth. Except for the few on this board I do not remember one pundit saying that CJS is a bad coach. Of course I could be wrong because I don't generally pay any attention to the talking heads in the media.

  • Punting on the SMU 35 when we're down 10 on like a 4th and 4 is the one that sticks out to me. Hopefully he's learned to be a little more aggressive than that. Not sure if that was not trusting his players to execute?
  • Calling the same play twice in a row trying to convert 1 yard to ice the Tulsa game is another. Not sure if that was his or Weiss's choice. But to be fair with Mangham up the middle you'd think he could get a yard on 2 tries. Maybe that was more on the oline to not get penetration.

Other than that I can't think of rough coaching decisions directly on Scott besides the QB carasel nonsense

You should be extremely selective about the talking heads here too.

Shaun King says the humidity will hurt BYU and we shall win. He expects a big win.

It WAS supposed to be our advantage versus Wisconsin according to many on here and we got wiped.

We got Jonathan Taylor'd to be more precise. That Wisky Oline was no joke either.

Well, I never said humidity will wipe out the talent discrepancy. The players for Wisconsin were overwhelmingly more talented than the players for USF. The talent level will be closer with BYU.

Good thing the IPF isn't ready. WTF are we building one for if that is going to make the difference in some games?

Because rain and lightning can cancel practices. The IPF will allow players to resume practicing. Do you think the team won't practice outside when the IPF is completed?

With our weather they'll be inside 50% of the time and will get soft from the A/C.  You know I'm just messin' with ya.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
