Any thoughts on these other predictions?

  • Jaren Mangham breaks the single-season rushing touchdown record. Possible
  • Xavier Weaver has another stellar year as WR 1 and cements his NFL Draft stock. Possible but he would have to have a 1000 receiving yards and more TDS.
  • Bob Shoop’s defense posts at least 75 TFL, 25 sacks, and two defensive linemen post 10 TFL each. 50%
  • The ‘Big 3’ get drafted. Left tackle Donovan Jennings, left guard Demetris Harris and center Brad Cecil Jennings, Harris, and the other tackle Jacobs have a chance due to size and strength. I think Cecil is the least likely to get NFL attention.

. . . I think ALL three get drafted.

While I would love to see Jennings, Cecil and Harris get drafted, I do not see that happening

IMO, our best O-Line ever was probably 2007 and out of those 5 (Dile, Schmidt, Griffin, Hermann and Walker), I do not think any wound up being drafted (a few were UDFAs)

Based on his size, my guess is Jennings is a late round pick, with the other two as UDFAs

1. There are too many RB for Mangum to get more touches. The only way is if he does it with less touches than last year. Joiner got bigger, Powell is back, Mychael Hamilton had a great spring & weighs like 210, and Michael Dukes. And hell, he is under the radar now, but there is a potential Mike Alstott on the team in 225 Ib (PWO) Jason Albritton. Somebody's feelings is going to get hurt.

2. I'm good with the Weaver pick.

3. I'm good with the defense prediction, except 89 TFLs and 42 sacks!

Jonathan Ross -10

Eddie Kelly - 5

Jatorian Hansford - 5

Tramel Logan 6 -

Yates -  4

The rest goes to the DTs and  LBs

4. I think those 3 get drafted, but Demontrey Jacobs will be the 4th one and gets drafted higher than all of them.

If 4 of our 5 starting O-Lineman get drafted, that would mean that we had a MONSTER year on offense.

6 wins would be a cakewalk in that scenario

Yes... if the USF defense is fair-to-middlin and the OL has four potential NFL picks... (which right now are two BIG "ifs") ... and with the skill position players on offense and special teams --  This team could even win the AAC.
