I guess this settles who the starter will be - I can’t see him coming here to be a backup

With Bohanan’s two years, I wonder if Timmy will redshirt.  That would give him a good shot at 2024, with 2 years of eligibility

Am I missing something when did McClain become so good that I'm not aware of ? Should Tom Brady be looking over his shoulder

1) I definitely said I didn't see this guy signing.

2) I also posted some sort of "best case scenario" with Bohanon and it was something like 3000 yds, 25/10. I would take that in a heartbeat next year.

3) I don't immediately assume all P5 players are better than G5, but 18 TDs in the Big 12 is definitely better than 5 in the AAC, which was mentioned earlier in this thread as a place to pad your stats.

Competition is good. Bringing in talent is good. I have no idea if this guy will be successful but beating out other schools for a well recruited QB is a glimmer of hope.

Gotta be by far the best transfer qb we have secured.  I would be pretty shocked if the guy can't pass more than 5 touchdowns this season If starting...so that's a plus.

Won't say he is the savior of program this early but it's definitely an upgrade at qb position.

To be fair, your comments, along with mine and others, were based on him coming in with just the one year

This all makes a bit more sense with him having two years at USF

Team chemistry last year resulted in 2 wins.  If this guy can improve the offense NOW then bring him in.

Team chemistry has gotten us 1 fbs win in two seasons. We need talent, schemes, and plays that put our players in the best positions to succeed. Hope this works out.
Apparently the staff wants him and sold him USF.

“I picked USF because I believe in that staff, I believe in the culture, I believe in the change that’s coming, I believe in the players, I believe in Tampa. That staff is the staff you want to play for, they’re going to give (you) everything they have on and off the field.”

Don’t get it twisted, the staff is in win-now mode

Blake Barnett was a former 5 star recruit that started at Alabama.

Trouble is he was a 5 star *pocket passer* playing in an OL made for Quentin Flowers.

Does anyone know if the new Baylor transfer is a dual threat?  God I hope so...
