Having said that, though, I think the huge buyout they're talking about is the one getting Pitino out of Iona .......... but I think there's no chance in hell of getting Pitino to that point of coming here anyway.

Believe it is the Foundation, not Athletics. 

Also, Frank Martin is friends with either Jose or Orlando, maybe both.

That's the word I had a brain fart on. I believe Martin is Hispanic, vaguely remembering something about he and COA facing each other and something being made of that ........ of course I could be completely fabricating that whole thing.

Kansas State had gone 11 years without making an NCAA tourney, winning more than 20 games 1 time in that span. He takes over and in 5 years goes to 4 NCAA tourneys, and the one off year goes to the NIT. Winning at least 21 games each year.

Then he goes to a South Carolina team that hadn't been to the tourney in 9 years. In his 3rd year wins 25 games and in his 4th year takes them to the final four. In the 5 years since then he hasn't made a tourney but only has 1 losing record.

Might have a better resume than any coach we've had here, but a recent struggles may be a reason we'd even have a chance.

He would be better than anyone we have had at USF since Lee Rose. If he is interested, we should go after him. If not get ready to continue playing boring basketball and losing. How many fans will continue to show for what we have seen in past few years?
