Good for him. When he gets his chances, he makes the best of them. He has shown a lot of talent, toughness and heart. The $$ to stay with the Browns is pretty darn good. If he stepped into a #2 role with another team for substantially more $$ and more game time, we might see just how good Mr. Johnson is. Nice to see a Bull make good in the pro's.

I don't think you grasp how this contract works. The Browns are willing to pay him ANY amount another team offers him or let that team have him. If someone offers him less, he stays with the Browns for more money. If someone offers him more, they have to pay him the same amount or let him walk. He's literally on a contract that guarantees him the most money possible. Or is the selfish part that you want him to be someone's RB2 for less money and the Browns are willing to pay him more money for a reduced role?

You are right. I really did not understand it. It also read that that more than likely won't match anything over the tender. Either way, he is making his 1st million.
