The lack of uniformity in NIL rules has enabled some schools to directly...

I was just wondering if USF has any plans to broker NIL deals for our student athletes to perhaps help offset the costs of running our programs.

I have to say that so far this has been pretty disappointing. I see NIL agreements all over especially for ucf. Are there deals being made and we simply don’t know about it? It would seem that a company would publicize this as that’s part of the deal of doing it.

The largest payment by far was $3,500 for an undisclosed deal.

We have zero high profile athletes or teams at the school.  There isn't going to be a whole lot to publicize right at this point.

I am seeing plenty of players on other teams I’ve never heard of getting a taste. Tampa corporations need to step up.

We shouldn't have any trouble attracting big time NIL deals. According to a few on this board, college athletics are just entertainment and no one should expect a return on their investment 😂.

Unfortunately the explanation goes back to the same basic principle... the program has been under invested in over the past decade plus, the product has suffered, and enthusiasm has suffered. When the first part gets fixed (happening now), the 2nd part happens then the 3rd.

International students cannot participate in the NIL program unless they can sign their contract in their home country.  https://www.usnews.com/news/us/articles/2021-12-24/foreign-college-athletes-left-out-of-rush-for-nil-windfall

Under NO circumstances can USF dedicate resources to this issue more than the article provided by @Jim Johnson.
