The writer from The Athletic ranked them number 7. Hopefully both of these authors have votes in the AP poll. Would be wonderful to see a top 10 USF team again!

That's in line with where I realistically saw us being ranked. Top 10 was a pipedream at this point, but can come with attrition over the next few weeks. The only team ranked ahead of us that should be below us is Louisville, and they play Michigan this week, so we will be jumping over one of them. The perception will be key in order to get a top 4 seed. I could see a 30-3 or 29-4 USF team getting a top 4 seed and hosting the first two rounds of the NCAA tournament. There is currently a Tyler the Creator show scheduled for March 19, 2022 at the YC, so that could complicate things as far as hosting is concerned. First Round games could be March 18th or 19th. I would hate the see the team finally get a top 4 seed only to be bumped from hosting by a concert.
