[The ACC] won't be taking less. ESPN intends [a brokered settlment] as an invitation [for the ACC] to expand with product they desire. It's their way of saying 'if you help us we'll help you'. If FSU and Clemson depart you stand at 15 plus 1. You pick up South Florida to secure them from the Big 10 for ESPN and you add two to the West to create a division. 
 

I agree with JR. The ACC would be wise to replace FSU with USF immediately, then look to expand back to 18 + Notre Dame -- ideally by poaching high-value "4 Corners" teams - or even the combo of TCU and Kansas - from the Big XII. This would secure the ACC as one of the power conferences - even if it wouldn't be fully equal to the top two.

Now this makes a lot more sense and I do believe is more likely to happen than what some of those big 12 homers keep spewing lol
