Realistically, nothing is going to happen this round until the FSU v ACC lawsuit is resolved. Obviously that could take time, and it’s still in the early stages of fighting over which court will hear it. The top ACC teams appear to be the big catch this round of expansion, and we’re stuck waiting for a lifeline when the dust settles. 1

USF isn’t moving until the ACC situation clarifies as you mentioned. With that said, that’s not bad for USF. We need to keep improving on all sides. 1.Football in 2024 and 2025, winning in conference and CFP entry would be huge. Beating Miami at home. 2. Win in basketball again next year and get into NCAA Tournament. 3. Keep moving on OCS timelines 4. Build up attendance in both football and basketball 5. Keep football and Basketball coaches 6. Keep top athletes thru NILdeals If USF can do most if not all of the above in next two years, it will stand a great shot at moving up to ACC and even a longshot at BigTen 1

The Twitter guys make it seem like wheels are always moving it the most recent realignment (2021-2023) was about a decade after the last meaningful round. You also gotta keep in mind that movement into a P4 is driven by the conference and their needs, not the invitees. USF won't be given an automatic invite as soon as they check off some boxes. Instead there has to be a need, almost always a vacancy, for the invite to come.

Those that really matter don't announce their intent until it suits their needs. The Illuminati's Master Plan and the New World Order will play out in its own time. And proactive moves from the M2 conferences. However, the latest rounds of realignment seemed to be a surprise to all including prominent members of the media. Maybe it's just that nobody knows what's happening. Another thought is that USF has an offer on the table already. That idea is a nice one and helps me to deal.
Gismo Posted February 24 Group: Member Topic Count: 417 Content Count: 9,688 Reputation: 1,237 Days Won: 8 Joined: 09/24/2009 Share Posted February 24 (edited) The big 12 guys think they’ll poach ACC schools, but I honestly don’t see it. I also think FSU is going to have to pay big time to exit the ACC. For USF, I’d like to see us step up a conference and resume an annual game with UCF. That game gets ratings, ratings = money. I think USF will eventually end up in the ACC or ACC leftovers, Big 12, or even by some rumored even the Big 10. We have a lot going for us, and a growing alumni base, and rising academic standings. We’re in a large city that turns out for winners. USF one of the largest public universities not in a power conference. USF ratings and game attendance would skyrocket if we stepped up in conference. Maybe because we don’t have enough rumor-mongers to push for us. We are AAU, located in FL, building an OCS, former Big East member, large public institution, etc. Yet it’s hush-hush. I mean I would at least expect talk about the value of adding us to bolster the B12 in order to ease travel for UCF. Hmm. Radio silence can also be a good thing too....

I have to believe that WVU, Cincy and Oviedo CC would prefer playing back east if the situation was right. Add us, Tulane and Memphis with whoever is left in the ACC and you have a league that fits us really well - despite cutting a few corners on the academic profile (mostly WVU and Memphis). Trade Cal and Stanford wherever.
