  1. If they bolt, the flood gates open, ESPN amends the contract and the ACC becomes AAC 2.0..........
  2. Exactly no doubt what the teams would prefer, but in the vast majority of cases this isn't what the teams or conferences want but rather what is in the best interest of ESPN who will pull whatever strings are necessary to eliminate the ACC dead weight........
  3. Agreed.......provided Duke, NC State, GT, and VT don't bail for the B12. Who would have ever believed that the 4 corners would have bailed for the B12?
  4. If the ACC top tier teams get poached the ACC will get a huge ESPN haircut and will likely go by way of the P12 and no longer be a power conference.........
  5. Some of the Power conferences will get 8-9 at large bids..........
  6. Not an issue for who? "Multiple Group of Five coaches tell Yahoo Sports that Power Five programs, having hit their NCAA-mandated 85 scholarship limit, are adding players as “walk-ons” with collectives footing the bill for a scholarship through NIL. The NCAA permits at least 30 walk-ons."
  7. Yup, hard to compete salary wise with the big boys on $7M TV money a year...........
  8. Extremely disappointing and hypocritical with the metal support structure..............and why is east west facing better when the QB is gonna be looking directly in the sun for half the game?
  9. Not building the OCS, not going into debt, and the option to spend money on other needs is a valid point. Spending that money on NIL is not because it is in no way shape or form legal to spend university money on NIL...........
  10. Sure the playoff requires unanimous vote to change the format but Autonomy status clearly does not. No way the majority of the remaining P4 will allow a new conference of G5 merged teams to retain autonomous status.......... "For legislation to be passed through autonomy, the Power Five conferences will select one representative from each of its universities to vote, as well as three student-athlete representatives per conference. Those individuals would cast a total of 80 votes, and an item would then pass in one of two ways. First, if 60 percent (48 votes) of the vote and a simple majority of schools from three of the five conferences support the item, it would pass. The item could also pass if a simple majority of all votes (at least 41) and simple majority of the schools in four of the five conferences support the measure."
  11. not sure.....sounded like an interesting spin
