Interesting group of ADs choosing the schools to expand with. They chose FAU because USF is leaving. Rice, UNT and UTSA because Smoo is leaving, and UAB because Memphis is leaving?

At this point with what is left in the AAC as bad as we have been we have to be atleast one of the 4 most attractive options left. Unless coming to FL is an issue for the new PAC12.

Not sure what other 4 AAC schools would be a better fit. This conference is ******.

If I were the PAC I would select

Memphis

Tulane

SMU or RICE

USF

Boise State

SDSU

UNLV

Colarado State

That conference actually looks pretty good on paper.

By far the best outcome for us provided we need to be in a conference. Smu over rice easily and that's a good 12 team conference.

Best option is still independent though.

Could throw in Fresno state, Afa, navy and temple if you want to make it 16

Wow.  A university like Stanford left out in the cold.  All this stuff is whack-a-doodle.

If this is true, the conference committed malpractice. Of course you take that deal if you were the PAC. If you dare cross the Mouse you are essentially signing your own death certificate.

Good news is that we will probably go back to those days where we have more independent schools which will help the scheduling be more flexible

Hopefully USF schedules some home&homes with the PAC 4
