It's pretty terrible stuff. I think Stanford has been my favorite PAC team.

Oregon St & Wash St seem to have better fans. Not sure if Cal or Stanford even care all that much about football.

They could say the same thing about us though just observing the attendance.

If we were an independent, we would be UMass without their basketball tradition. Our TV partner would be More TV 32, and we would pay them to air the games.

My idea has us being independent and playing 11-12 away games a season against power 5 teams. Maybe 1 fcs at home. We'd get payouts for one and dones and get more exposure, despite being the ncaa version of the Washington generals.

You're one of those people who think USF should just drop football, right?

I’m pretty sure you are required to have 5 home games a year (one of which can be a neutral site) so we would need at least 4 home games

They could say it but it would be ill informed. Over the last 5 years we've had the 4th highest avg attendance in the AAC ..... ahead of two of the teams promoted.

Dropping football makes more sense than going Independent in our situation...... which shows you just how dumb an idea going independent is.

Good point. RJS also makes the attendance look worse than it is. I'm hoping that in addition to actually increasing attendance, the OCS also makes lower attendance look less obvious.
