I can never remember how they do it after each vote.

Does white smoke mean they've picked the teams or does black smoke mean they've picked the teams?

The financial backing is entirely built on getting into the Big 12. If that falls through, Houston is toast.

And Houston better hope like heck that the B12 makes a decision soon, otherwise, they are going to lose Herman and have to go spend big $$$ on his replacement to prove to the B12 that they are serious about their program. If they get left out then with a high paid coach who doesn't have the same success as Herman, it's a long climb back to the top... maybe they can give Holtz a chance to kill their program, that would be fun.

Les miles was making $4.3 million. Herman is making $3 million but would be bumped to $5.5 million for two year if they go to the Big 12. LSU might have to fork over more dough to get him if that happens.

I thought LSU wanted Jimbo Fisher? USF just needs to win the AAC. To any of you whiners that didn't show up to watch your Bulls against the 'Noles, the pregame environment was the best I've experienced at Ray Jay in years. People will show up to support the Bulls, we need to convert more of those people into season ticket holders, donors, and fervent tailgaters.

BIG 12 EXPANSION IS STILL MUDDLED, BUT OKLAHOMA'S TREND TO STATUS QUO COULD RENDER PROCESS AN EXERCISE IN FUTILITY

On a smaller scale, West Virginia isn't enamored with adding Cincinnati for this reason. (This could be why South Florida has gained some buzz the past few weeks.)

Lots of what if's regarding the Big 12 and its inaction

Interesting piece that could be a reality for some of those teams in Big 12 if OU and Texas bolt.

Last week, Jeff Odom said there was no "buzz" regarding USF and the Big XII, but this article FWIW identifies USF (not UCF, interestingly enough) as the recipient of recent "buzz" due to WVU's concerns regarding Cincy.

Whom should I believe?
