Iowa State student senate against BYU inclusion in Big 12

The university's student senate passed a resolution Wednesday stating it, "believes that BYU's discriminatory policies and practices are inconsistent with the values of the Big 12 Conference," and it "does not support BYU's membership bid to the Big 12 conference at this time."

ISU's student government opposing BYU's admission probably doesn't mean that much. If this gathers steam and the rest of the conference's student governments say the same thing this might be an issue for BYU. It also has to hurt that they would likely be football only due to their refusal to play on Sundays.

Think, also, the B12 should be a little more accommodating since they are our second choice ..... We should demand green and gold M&M's in the visitors locker room for all our conf away games.

No gold m&m. Have to go with yellow unless b12 agrees to custom make gold for us.  Personally I think we are worth it.

The President had her Fall Address on Wednesday so that's what those tweets are from. USF has already received Emerging Pre-eminence status, only university in the state to do so, and say they will reach pre-eminence, only achieved by FSU and UF, by 2017.
