i bet that spread ticks down to -17 by mid week. I would take USF and the points here.

That seems really big.  Are they that much better than BYU?

No... but they have a solid offense.. with some speedy receivers.

Yeah, but I am guessing their defense is not that great, which means we should score ample points.  If they win by 20, they will have to score a ton of points.  Looking at their schedule, they have played a bunch of nobodies other than a questionable TCU.  They beat Louisiana Tech by 2 points, beat an FCS team, and beat a terrible North Texas team by 23 points.

No way in heck we don't keep this within 20 unless we just come out and lay a complete egg.  They've played 3 stiffs and one mediocre team.  We've played 3 nationally ranked teams.

FWIW, Sagarin has SMU at 27 and BYU at 47 after this weekend .... We're at 120, with the 6th toughest schedule, and the differential between us and SMU is around 20..

That’s correct, their defense is not that good. I am with you, I would probably take the 20 at this point.

Yeah I don't know. Seems right I guess. SMU is 4 and 0 and is strong where we are weak. And they're at home.

I wonder what our SOS is for just games 1 through 5. I would say even worse.

They were lucky they won that game over LA Tech. SMU was losing with 6 seconds left and won on a deflected hail Mary. North Texas doesn't look good, they lost worse to UAB and lost to LA Tech as well.

20 Points seems really big based on that.
