How many other guys on here would you give a B to?

Coaches Hot Seat provides the Coaches Hot Seat Rankings and Coaches Hot Seat Daily News to College Football fans everywhere.

Frost for sure. Who can win at Nebraska? Norvell, FSU is such a bottom feeder. Harbaugh, Michigan doesn’t have the climate to attract recruits so you know it’s hard to create a stable roster. The rest of those guys should get C+s for effort. They’re really nice people you know, and we have to consider their feelings when assigning grades

If 123 out of 130 is a B what grade is 1-10? That's one hell of a curve

Sporting News ranks the college football coaches from 1-130 ahead of the 2021 college football season.

130. Maurice Linguist, Buffalo (NR)
129. Will Hall, Southern Miss (NR)
128. Kane Wommack, South Alabama (NR)
127. Charles Huff, Marshall (NR)
126. Marcus Arroyo, UNLV (119)
125. Tom Arth, Akron (130)
124. Walt Bell, Massachusetts (128)
123. Jeff Scott, South Florida (124)
122. Ricky Rahne, Old Dominion (118)
121. Dana Dimel, UTEP (126)
120. Doug Martin, New Mexico State (113)

That’s some pretty stiff competition. Do we really have to resources to compete with giants like UTEP and New Mexico State?

I just ask myself did they try and did they face adversity as long as you have those two things how can anyone give you less than an a. Well that and we had Covid here and it’s not like anyone else had to deal with that…

There are just people out there so disconnected from reality that the expectation is just to blindly win. Left a bare cupboard? Toxic culture? Doesn't matter, you should win every game. And if you don't we fire you in 2 years, and then we do the same to the next guy. I just don't get it.

Everyone forgets that Clemson have not always been the world beaters they are today. In fact, they came pretty **** close from firing Dabo and not to mention we beat them in a bowl game. Clemson went through a major change to become what they are today and CJS was part of that process. To say that he was ALWAYS part of a strong program (Clemson was pretty middle-of-road 7-6, 8-5 kind of team) is not true.

"basically" ALWAYS ;) He grew up(as a child) at Florida State and played and coached nearly 20 years at Clemson and think their worse season was an 8 win year..

Seems accurate...  Let's just go with the sportingnews.com rankings and check back next year.

So far the biggest disappointment for me has been the recruiting and the failure to address the DL in the portal.  Next years class will be small and is not looking good at all.

If the 2 NT's who opted out this year stay committed, that will help ....

People don’t have a problem with him not winning every game they have a problem with him not winning any games. Had the years leading up to his take over we had lost every game then he would be right about where he probably should be, but that’s not the case. The year before he got here that bare cupboard and toxic culture won four games, he has added a tenures worth of players and has been instilling his culture which has lead to zero tangible improvements. The recruiting class he is lining up this very season, isn’t pointing towards any more restocking than his first two tries. At some point if you are going the right direction there should be some evidence of that. Every single list ranking coaches has him at the bottom (including the lists of just people that started the same year he did) while anyone ranking the people doing the objectively worse has him towards the top. The expectation that he should be doing better than CCS if he is better than CCS is the one more rooted in reality than the ones that think every increased failure is somehow a movement towards success.
